Illegal immigrant found hidden beneath bus driver's seat on M6 « Express & Star
The driver of the bus, which was travelling north on the motorway, called police after hearing noises below his seat.
The
bus pulled up by junction 10 for Wolverhampton and Walsall and a
teenager was discovered hiding in the subframe of the vehicle.
He was arrested and then handed over to the immigration authority.
West
Midlands Police spokesman Lee Page said: “Police were called to
junction 10 of the M6 by a bus driver who could hear noises from below
his seat at around 10.20pm on Friday night.
“An 18-year-old man was found hiding in the sub frame of the bus.
“He was arrested and handed over to immigration officials.”
