Police say road accident involving 2 trucks, 2 buses in SW Pakistan has killed at least 25 | Fox News
Pakistani police say at least 25 people died and over 30 were injured
in a multi-vehicle collision involving two trucks and two passenger
buses on a coastal highway in the country's southwest.
Senior
officer Ahmed Nawaz says the accident took place early on Saturday near
the town of Gadani, when a bus bound for the port city of Karachi
collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.
Nawaz
says the second bus and truck then piled up onto the two vehicles and
all caught fire, mainly because the buses were also smuggling Iranian
gasoline- and diesel-filled canisters on board.
He says most of the victims were severely burned and that the death toll may increase.
Bad road infrastructure and poor driving often cause accidents in Pakistan.

10 Killed, 17 Injured In Northeast China Bus Fire | News 92 FM | Official Site for Houston News, Traffic, Weather, Breaking News
BEIJING (AP) – A fire on a passenger bus in northeastern China
killed at least 10 people and injured 17 on Wednesday, officials said,
in the country’s second deadly bus fire in less than a week.
The fire broke out aboard a crowded bus in the city of Jilin early Wednesday morning as the vehicle neared a highway entrance, the provincial government said on its microblog. Reports said 43 people were aboard the bus at the time of the blaze.
There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire, and police were
investigating. Such blazes have been deliberately set in the past in
China by passengers carrying grudges against people, the government or society.
Last week, a man suspicious of his wife’s infidelity confessed to
boarding a bus in southwestern China and setting the vehicle on fire.
Six people died and 35 were injured in that incident.
