The Department of
Transport is investigating exactly what happened after a bus overturned
in Shongweni in KwaZulu Natal on Saturday.
Two school children were killed and 78 others injured after the bus driver apparently lost control of the vehicle.
This is the latest in a series of bus accidents over the past year.
The department's Tiyani Rikhotso says the transport minister has called for action to be taken.
"She
sends her sincere condolences to the families of the deceased. As
government we will do everything in our power to get to the bottom of
what happened in this particular crash."
