Two arrested for killing bus driver over domestic issue - Deccan Herald
The Jnanabharathi police have arrested two men for the recent murder of a private bus driver.
The suspects, Guruswamachar (22) and Vishwanath Gowda (21), residents of Nandini Layout, are alleged to have hacked the victim, Prakash (35), to death on May 23 over a domestic dispute.
The police said Guruswamachar and Prakash were relatives, and they had a dispute over some property and financial matter.
Old enmity
They are said to have fought with each other months ago, when Guruswamachar had vowed to kill Prakash. Guruswamachar, along with his friend Vishwanath executed the plan.
On the night of May 23, Prakash dropped off his passengers at Matthikere and was proceeding towards his home in Muddinapalya.
The suspects are alleged to have stopped the bus near Gidada Kovinalli, close to Ambedkar College on Kengeri Road, got into the bus and stabbed Prakash in the chest and neck.
Though Prakash tried to escape, he was chased and attacked.
The suspects abandoned their weapons on the spot and fled, added the police.
Local residents called the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted Prakash to a nearby hospital where he died later.
The police took the duo into custody recently.
They confessed to having committed the murder, said the police.
