BBC News - Woman, 66, struck by bus in Edinburgh suffers serious head injuries

The incident involving an X8 First Bus happened about 09:00 at the east end of Princes Street, near Princes Mall.


The woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary before being
transferred to the Western General Hospital, where she remains in a
serious condition.


Local road closures were in place for around four hours while police carried out inquiries at the scene.


Sgt Brian Smith said: "We are still trying to establish how
this collision occurred and are keen to speak with any members of the
public who were on Princes Street at the time.
