The school board also voted 7-0 to fire East Limestone High School bus driver Charles “Mike” George effective Tuesday.
The superintendent said Wednesday that all bus drivers must maintain a
current commercial driver’s license, and George no longer met this
requirement.
Sisk did not specify why George’s CDL status changed but said “if he no
longer has a CDL, then he can no longer” be employed by the system as a
bus driver.
He said prior to the termination, George did have a valid license
during his employment, which records show began in August 2003. - See
