WASHINGTON, D.C. - D.C. police say a Metro bus and two vehicles were involved in a serious accident, after one of the cars ran a red light in Southeast.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday at 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Authorities say two people were inside a Camero, headed south on 15th Street, when it ran a red light and hit a Metro bus with three people, the driver and two passengers, aboard it. The impact caused the bus to hit a tree, then a parked car.

Five people were transported to a local hospital, including both people in the Camero.

The investigation is on
