Man stabbed after row at Glasgow bus stop

A man has been stabbed after he was attacked by a group of men who jumped out of a minibus and chased him in the early hours of the morning.

The 20-year-old victim was at a bus stop in Renfield Street in Glasgow city centre when an argument broke out.

Six men got out of the minibus, chased the man and attacked him.

He was treated for injuries to his head and arms. Strathclyde Police are examining CCTV footage and have appealed for witnesses.

The attack happened at about 0420 BST.

Det Con Kieron Frost said: "This man was out for the night with friends and was just waiting for the bus home when he was attacked by these men.

"He did not know his attackers and had not been in contact with the men during his night out other than when he was standing at the bus stop."

The six suspects were all said to be white and aged between 22 and 25.

One was wearing a yellow hooded jumper, white baseball cap and light blue tracksuit trousers, the second was dressed in a white T-shirt, beige baseball cap and blue jeans while the third had short dark hair and was wearing a red zipper jacket and blue jeans.

The fourth suspect had dark hair and was wearing a dark jacket and dark jeans, while the fifth was in a bright orange T-shirt and blue jeans and the sixth wore a purple polo shirt and blue jeans.
