A man was charged late Saturday with dropping a brick on a CTA bus traveling on Lake Shore Drive during the Friday evening rush hour and injuring two passengers, police said.
Irvin Brown was charged with one count of unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of aggravated battery with a weapon, police said. Brown's age and address where not immediately available, said Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines.
The incident happened during the Friday evening rush near the 3900 block on southbound Lake Shore Drive, according to authorities. Preliminary information from police said a brick was thrown or dropped onto the bus and broke through a window, injuring two female passengers.
A 60-year-old and 40-year-old were both taken to area hospitals where they were treated for cuts to their faces from broken glass, police said.
