PLUNGE IN BOLIVIA

LA PAZ (Reuters) - At least 26 people were killed and dozens injured when a bus plunged off a Bolivian mountain road on Sunday, the latest in a series of deadly accidents in the impoverished Andean nation.

State radio station ABI said 17 children were among the injured after the minibus crashed between the cities of Cochabamba and Potosi in central Bolivia.

Survivors pointed to brake problems, it said.

Road accidents are common in Bolivia, South America's poorest country, where driving conditions are often precarious.
