A TriMet bus and pickup collided Thursday afternoon on Canyon Road near Oregon 217.

BEAVERTON -- A pickup truck collided with an eastbound TriMet bus Thursday afternoon on Canyon Road at 114th, near Oregon 217, injuring several passengers and the person in the pickup.
Four people were taken to St. Vincent's hospital with minor injuries from the 3:20 p.m. accident, three from the bus, said TriMet spokeswoman Bekki Witt. A total of 10 passengers were on the bus. Eastbound lanes were closed for a time.
The No. 58 bus was nearing 217 when it stopped at a red light, then proceeded through on the green, said Witt. Witnesses said the pickup ran the light and struck the right front of the bus, she said.
The accident remained under investigation.
