Twenty four people have died and more than 10 others have been seriously injured in a bus crash in South Africa.
The bus was travelling on a motorway towards Cape Town when the driver apparently lost control.
The bus overturned in Western Cape province about 150km (90 miles) north-east of the city, reports AFP news agency.
South Africa, which will host the World Cup in June, has a poor road safety record, with thousands killed yearly.
"The driver lost control of the bus, it then went through a barrier, overturned and then landed in the opposite direction it was travelling," provincial traffic spokesperson Xenophone Wentzel told AFP news agency.
Some of the injured have been taken to hospital by ambulance and helicopter, he said.
Mr Wentzel told the South African Press Association the accident happened early in the morning at about 0600 local time (0400 GMT) and the fatalities included a number of children.
He also said the privately owned bus had been suspended by the neighbouring Eastern Cape province's traffic department because it was not roadworthy.
