11 children hurt in San Diego County bus crash

CAMPO, Calif.—San Diego County authorities say 11 children have been injured in a school bus crash on the Campo Indian reservation.

State fire spokesman Mike Mohler says the bus hit a light pole at around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday. He says 11 youngsters were taken to local hospitals, 10 of them with minor injuries and one with moderate injuries. All are expected to survive.

The California Highway Patrol says the crash took place in the parking lot of the reservation's Golden Acorn Casino but there are no other details.

The reservation is about 40 miles southeast of downtown San Diego.

It was not immediately clear where the students attended school.
