Teenager killed in collision with bus in Birmingham

A teenage boy died after being knocked down by a bus and becoming trapped underneath it in Birmingham.

The incident happened in Lichfield Road in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield, shortly before 2210 BST on Saturday.

The boy had to be freed from underneath the vehicle before paramedics could begin giving treatment.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said the boy was then given resuscitation but was confirmed dead at the scene.
