CHAMPLAIN, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers have found about $1 million worth of the drug ecstasy stuffed into a bag left behind on passenger bus undergoing inspection at a northern New York border crossing.
CBP officials say the passengers had exited the bus after it had been stopped early Monday morning at the U.S. border crossing at Champlain, 160 miles north of Albany.
Authorities say a bag left on the bus was found to contain 21 vacuum-sealed bags holding more than 39,000 ecstasy tables with an estimated street value of nearly $1 million.
Officials are still trying to determine who the bag belonged to, and no arrests have been made.
