BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) ― A southern Illinois father who allegedly climbed onto a school bus to egg his son on during a fight faces disorderly conduct charges.
Bryant Davis of Belleville is also charged with criminal trespass to a motor vehicle.
Police say Davis' 14-year-old son was fighting with another boy on the bus when the driver pulled over to call police.
That's when Davis allegedly climbed aboard and urged his son to "finish the fight."
Davis and the boy left before police arrived. He was arrested later without incident.
Police say the 36-year-old Davis admitted his role in Thursday's incident but said he was tired of the boy bothering his son.
Davis is free on bail. No published telephone listing for him was found. It isn't clear whether he has an attorney.
